Palisade Area Community Kids Education Resource Service
Welcome to the Palisade Area Community Kids Education Resource Service, otherwise known as P.A.C.K.E.R.S. We are a non-profit organization, which operates a Youth Center that is supported by rental services, donations, contributions, work programs and grants from very generous people, all with a goal in mind of providing a safe, fun place for all youth to gather and be guided by caring adults.
Our goal is to create a safe and supervised place for kids in this community to come to for sports, activities and other social and educational events. We want to empower, develop and encourage productive interactions between our members while recognizing them as important members of Aitkin County.
During the school year, . The Youth Center is open year round except major holidays, to all students in grades 7-12. We also offer programs for Grades 5-6 as well. Students are often involved in activities like pickleball, basketball, volleyball, billiards, Nerf guns, laser tag, and RC cars. Our desire is to have activities which allow kids to challenge their thought processes. Board games, card games and other similar activities that are not electronic devices are one of the keys to what we do.
One of our objectives is to have programs to spur interest in things other than being glued to their electronic devices.
Sharing with the Community
It is our desire to share our facility with the community for a variety of purposes including birthday parties, graduation parties, weddings, wedding receptions, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties, business meetings, training seminars, fundraisers and more. Our five acre fence enclosed field is excellent for family reunions for those with RV's. With access to indoors, we are an excellent place to have these events in situations of bad weather.
We offer canoe and kayak rentals for those who want to take a relaxing trip down the Mississippi River. With public landings up and down the river, and one, located in Bergland Park, which is about 200 yards from our front door, a shuttle will take you to many of these so that you can either begin or end your trip at our doorstep.

With about 15 acres to play in, Laser Tag is sure to be a blast. Setting up portable barriers, along with dips in the field of play, trees to hide behind, playing laser tag is always different.
Scenarios can take place outside, or if the weather is bad, inside. Sometimes the scenario is a building that needs to be breached, or capture the flag. Maybe breaking out a prisoner. The possibilities are endless
